The tour gave us a wonderful exposure to Costa Rica and the San Ramon/Alajuela area. For a first-time visitor to Costa Rica, I felt immersed in the cultural and natural beauty that surrounded us. We didn’t have to worry about anything with every detail taken care of. The drivers were extraordinary and their knowledge made it possible to see things we would have never known about. From seeing volcanoes, hidden waterfalls, gorgeous mountains, coffee plantations, stopping to get sugar cane and coconuts, or relaxing over delicious traditional meals, the trip was fantastic. The accommodations were perfect with majestic views of the mountains and flora all around us. This was hands down one of the most fun and relaxing vacations I have ever been on. -

Four lady friends and I had the very first tour with Organic Costa Rica. Pete, Sady and Carmen were unbelievable hosts. Carmen would have breakfast and dinner waiting for us every evening that we didn’t have other plans. Pete and Sady took us to volcanoes, waterfalls, hot springs, and more. The sunsets at the casa were breathtaking and I literally cried the first night because of how grateful I was to our incredible hosts. I promise you, you will have the experience of a lifetime and you will come home with new friends! Thank you Pete, Sady, and Carmen ❤️

My first trip was a typical one with white water rafting, ziplining, hiking, hot springs, etc. mostly around Arenal. I enjoyed it so much that I vowed to come back. When my friends suggested we go, I was more than eager. This time around was even more exciting and far more interesting. I was able to experience Costa Rica through the eyes of locals, engage in community happenings and explore hidden gems in a relaxing, carefree environment. Peter and Sady were our hosts and guides, helping us navigate local shops, taking us to their favorite spots, and stopping in small towns on our day trips. I saw more of Costa Rica on this trip than I did the first; volcanoes, hikes to waterfalls, unique ecofriendly coffee plantation that incorporate local plants, and varied flora and fauna right from the house. We stopped on the roadside for coconut water and fruit, selected local pastries, visited churches and topiary gardens, and so much more. Every morning breakfast would be ready for us to get us started for the day. After a long day of touring, we came back to some great Costa Rican dinners and watch incredible sunsets from the house. We packed so much in one week! The accommodations were great, and the hosts were even better!

What a gastronomic experience we had while staying at Organic Costa Rica Although the high adventure trips were amazing, we were delightfully surprised with our fresh and flavorful authentic Costa Rican food prepared at our hosts home. Breakfasts consisted of not only varied fresh fruits, traditional bean and rice but the freshest of local cheeses. Sady, a native Costa Rican, was determined to have us taste all the sweets as well. We left with a new appreciation of another countries culinary specialties. The roads of this Central American country are narrow, with few yellow lines or reflectors to assist in nighttime driving. Peter’s driving skills were amazing. These two guys drove for hours to get us to see a volcano, zip line and soak in natural thermal pools. And in the process Sady narrated the countryside. Although I wasn’t sure I was going to zip line, I wanted to see some of the beautiful birds, and monkeys. I saw the birds but up until the last night, no monkeys. Sady was determined to make my trip complete. After scouting for a monkey more than once, he located one on the trees in their backyard, and that little animal hung around for about 10 minutes, giving me a good look. Not sure how Sady did that, but I did hear some murmuring of “monkey hourly rentals.”

"We are still savoring the memories. Rick and I have decided that our time in Costa Rica is the standard by which all future vacations will be measured. It was that special!
